The “PlayStation App” What is the PlayStation App? With the invention of I-devices and Android devices a new culture has emerged. There must be a synergy with any new device with the devices that have taken our culture by storm. The PlayStation App enables smartphones and tablets and PS Vita to become second screens for the PlayStation4. Cable TV companies and SmartTV's s already use this technology in one form or another. ( Xbox One has its own version also). For it to emerge in a gaming system interface was a pleasant surprise. The installed app will allow you to view games remotely and purchase them to download on the PS4. If parents are enlightened to the power of technology, they can view exactly what the 'young-lings' are playing at home.
Sony needs to replace their marketing team on their web pages because the website does not represent the full features of the system. It basically leaves out too much. (Add more video or just point them to my blog.)
They should have added a few videos demonstrating how this app will enhance your gaming experience and the simplicity of how to use it. Just Saying!
This video explains the details of the PS4 App and the XBox Smartglass systems. If you have a PS Vita, allows you to take the game with you if you need to leave it . The XBox One does not have a portable system so it will rely on smartphones and tablets only. You have to purchase a PS Vita to get the dual screen option to continue game play if you so desire on the PS4. To interact or continue a game you were playing on a portable device is an awesome idea. How many of you already have a PS Vita? Would it be nice if the price dropped for the purpose of interacting with the PS4? Dream on!
